We are currently seeking a highly competent and empathetic Staff Nurse to join our fast-paced and dynamic Emergency Department. This role is ideal for registered nurses who thrive under pressure and have a genuine passion for helping others in their most vulnerable moments.
As a Staff Nurse in the Emergency Department, you will play a vital role in triaging patients, administering critical care, monitoring vital signs, and collaborating closely with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals. This role is key to delivering quality emergency nursing services in compliance with UAE health standards and international best practices.
Your day-to-day duties will include:
Perform comprehensive triage assessments to categorize patient urgency based on symptoms and vital signs.
Provide timely and effective emergency interventions and prioritize care based on medical necessity.
Administer medications, IV fluids, oxygen therapy, and other life-saving treatments.
Continuously monitor patient conditions and document changes in health status.
Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential electronic medical records (EMRs).
Update and adjust care plans in response to patient response and clinical indicators.
Work as part of a multidisciplinary team including physicians, surgeons, respiratory therapists, and social workers.
Provide handover reports using the SBAR communication framework to ensure smooth transitions between shifts and teams.
Adhere to infection control standards and safety protocols.
Promptly report incidents or near misses and contribute to clinical quality improvement programs.
Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment options, and post-discharge care plans.
Offer emotional support to patients and relatives in distressing situations.
Assist physicians during emergency procedures and diagnostic tests.
Remain calm and efficient during code blue or mass casualty events, ensuring effective patient stabilization.
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following requirements:
Bachelorโs Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
Valid DHA/MOH license or eligibility to practice in the UAE.
Certifications in:
BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
Minimum of 2 yearsโ clinical experience in Emergency Nursing, preferably in a hospital or trauma center setting.
Familiarity with advanced emergency equipment, trauma triage, and urgent medical interventions.
Ability to stay composed under pressure in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
