About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Shipping Executive to support our operations team in vessel handling activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that all shipping operations are completed efficiently, professionally, and in compliance with company and port regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Support operational tasks related to vessel handling to ensure services are completed on time and with high standards.

• Accurately record all services in our operational systems for smooth billing and documentation.

• Ensure timely receipt of supplier invoices and coordinate with suppliers for any pending documentation or clarifications.

• Assist the team with on-site vessel visits or attendances when needed.

• Respond to customer inquiries regarding service details and operational support.

• Ensure job files are closed operationally and handed over promptly for invoicing.

• Monitor the renewal timelines of government-issued IDs for company use.

• Maintain the availability and correct usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.

Who We’re Looking For

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent university qualification.

• Knowledge of UAE traffic rules, port and customs regulations is a plus.

Experience

• At least 1 year of experience in a similar shipping or maritime role.

• Fresh graduates may also be considered based on academic performance, attitude, and willingness to learn.

Skills & Competencies

• Professional and presentable with a proactive approach.

• Fluent in written and spoken English.

• Computer-literate and comfortable using standard office tools and communication devices.

• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
